Urban Exploration

The way we view things and places can alter, depending on how we perceive the decay of ruins. For example, a lot of people would associate abandoned buildings, or environments as haunted and may question their existence; as to why they are still lingering around. On the other hand, urban exploration, also known as those who explore particular landscapes as in industrial sites or abandoned buildings and simply take photographs and debrief the history. (What's the Story with Urban Exploration? 2011). Everyone has experienced a draw or pull towards a suspicious or terrifying location at some point in their life and according to Urban explorers everyone still has that sense of mystery within them to some extent however, we tend to stay clear of it. Hence the importance of testing boundaries, allowing for new and unexpected experiences to occur in order of one trying to see the world around them through different lenses (What's the Story with Urban Exploration? 2011). By viewing the bigger picture, investigating places, seeing the hidden truth behind the “first world” and seeking the beauty in history and decaying structures. Which will further be explored through a series of abandoned places toured among London Ontario.
